Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Physician Office - Pediatric Gastroenterology. The LPN delivers patient care under the guidance of the physician, preparing patients for visits and recording responses.

Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, implementing plan of care, labeling specimens, assisting with procedures, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• One year of clinical patient care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to meet patient needs.
• Implements the plan of care with direct basic nursing care per LPN scope.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Assists with indirect care through clerical or administrative duties.
• Acts as a chaperone during patient examinations as requested.
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments and interventions.
• Other duties as assigned.
