Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for an onsite contract role in Vernon, NJ. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper storage temperatures.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience with pediatric and geriatric populations and phlebotomy certification is preferred. Responsibilities include updating patient information, handling inquiries, and following established lab procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with Pediatrics & geriatrics in Hospital / Clinic / Lab is Mandatory
• Phlebotomy certification is Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results
