Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Brick, NJ. The responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient information. Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred.

The position is fully onsite in Brick, NJ, with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. Benefits and eligibility vary by classification and length of employment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with pediatrics & geriatrics in hospital/clinic/lab.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results.
