Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract position based in Howell, NJ. You will perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge when needed, package specimens for transport, store them at required temperatures, and update patient information accurately.

6+ months experience with Pediatrics and geriatrics in hospital, clinic, or lab is mandatory; Phlebotomy certification is preferred. This onsite role offers medical/dental/vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, and PTO.

• 6+ months experience working with Pediatrics & geriatrics in Hospital/Clinic/Lab is mandatory.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results.
