The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking two pediatric gastroenterologists to join the Clinician Educator line at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. These positions will be based at our North Bay clinical sites—one in San Francisco and the other in Walnut Creek—both part of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. • The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant should have a M.D., D.O., or M.D. (or D.O.)/Ph.D. and the typical candidate would be board certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in gastroenterology. The successful applicant should have a track record of research and innovation in clinical practice. We expect the successful candidate to participate in the care of and management of children with gastrointestinal disorders. The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and fellows in other specialties, medical students and other graduate students. Abundant resources, including equipment and nursing/administrative support, are available for Pediatric Gastroenterology faculty members. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program is currently ranked in the top 11 programs nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital is among the nation’s largest pediatric solid organ transplant program and is home to a robust ACGME accredited fellowship program in pediatric gastroenterology. Internationally recognized for its expertise in transplantation, gastroenterology and nutrition, the Division’s clinical program cares for more than 10,000 patients each year, making it also among the largest volume in the country. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program has great potential for research opportunities and is characterized by a culture of mutual respect and inclusion. The expected base pay range for this position is:Clinical Assistant Professor: $254,000 – $272,000Clinical Associate Professor: $294,000 – $312,000Clinical Professor: $349,000 – $376,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
