RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Pediatric Gastroenterology Division at two of its key facilities—Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Both hospitals are integral parts of RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest academic healthcare system. This role offers an excellent blend of clinical and academic responsibilities within a collaborative team. The candidate will join a team of 3 full-time faculty members, 2 full-time nurses, and 3 dietitians to provide clinical care, research, and educational support.

The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is the state's premier hospital for children, offering over 30 specialized children’s services and preventive programs promoting wellness in the community. It has multiple ACGME-accredited residency programs and a strong academic affiliation with Rutgers University NJMS, serving as a primary site for undergraduate pediatric medical education. Residents rotate at both Children’s Hospital of New Jersey and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is among the busiest pediatric care providers in New Jersey, with over 200 pediatricians and specialists. It offers nearly every major pediatric sub-specialty, with dedicated nurses, respiratory therapists, child life coordinators, social workers, and other professionals trained in pediatric care. The center includes a 50+ bed level 3 NICU, pediatric floor, and ICU staffed with full-time pediatric intensivists and hospitalists. The Kogan Celiac Center in Livingston is part of RWJBarnabas Health and provides comprehensive pediatric nutrition services with 2 dietitians. Our division serves a pediatric population of over 360,000 children from Hudson and Essex counties.
