A leading healthcare institution in Daly City offers an esteemed academic position in Pediatric Gastroenterology. The Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor will join a dedicated team, involving outpatient and inpatient responsibilities while contributing to teaching and mentorship. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Mass General for Children (MGfC) invites applications for a full-time Harvard Medical School appointment as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor to join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers.
The successful candidate will have earned an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent and be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
As a candidate for the Clinician Expertise and Innovation Track, the position requires a commitment to clinical excellence in outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, as well as teaching and mentorship of students, residents, and pediatric gastroenterology trainees.
In addition to building a general GI practice, this position offers a unique opportunity to join our well-established, nationally renowned, high-volume, multidisciplinary (ENT, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, SLP, Dietetics) Pediatric Aerodigestive Center and our Pediatric NeuroGastroenterology or General Gastroenterology Programs, depending on the candidate’s interests. These programs provide numerous academic opportunities. Although not required, experience and/or interest in NeuroGastroenterology is strongly preferred.
The MGH Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition consists of twenty-three pediatric gastroenterologists, six fellows, and four Advanced Practitioners, providing care for a broad spectrum of GI conditions.
The program provides patient and family-centered care to a large patient base and includes five dieticians, three psychiatrists/clinical psychologists, one infusion nurse, and six ambulatory nurses.
MGfC offers the dual advantage of a children’s hospital (including an 18-bed NICU, a 14-bed PICU, and a 6-bed Pediatric Emergency Department) within the internationally renowned Massachusetts General Hospital, ranked among the best general hospitals worldwide.
Pediatric gastroenterologists and other specialists benefit from extensive clinical resources, educational opportunities, and research activities within the Mass General Brigham system, the largest healthcare network in the greater Boston area.
