Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide total care for residents on the unit and supervise direct care staff. The role emphasizes nursing skills, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians and management.

Shifts run 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am with every-other-weekend requirements. Candidates must hold Indiana nursing licensure and meet state health requirements; compensation ranges from $32 to $59 per hour depending on license, experience, and shift.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a School of Nursing and hold a current license by the State of Indiana in good standing.
• Must possess health certificate/examination as required by State agencies.
• Knowledgeable of nursing skills and practices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for total care of all assigned residents on the unit and supervision of direct care staff.
• Ensure restorative nursing care measures are performed as indicated and ordered.
• Maintain open communication with nursing management regarding conditions on the unit and concerns related to staff, residents, and visitors.
• Explain treatment goals and expectations to resident and family/representative.
• Supervise/manage personnel on assigned hall/unit(s).
• Verify that medical records are properly maintained and updated.
• Administer and document all medications at appropriate times.
• Count narcotics at beginning and end of each shift and maintain accurate narcotic records.
