Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ethical patient care.
• Evaluates patient and unit outcomes and takes appropriate action.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Completes required education and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Delegates tasks to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed staff as needed.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient needs.
• Assesses age-specific care needs and adheres to department standards.
