Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC area is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Technician for the Night shift in a busy ED. You will provide direct bedside care, monitor vitals, assist with plan of care under supervision, and support transport and emergency procedures.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, EMT training, NR-EMT exam eligibility, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of ED or EMS experience. De-escalation training within six months is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an EMT course that meets standards.
• Successful completion of the cognitive and psycho-motor NR EMT exam or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, take vital signs, monitor devices, and report changes to care team.
• Assist with implementation of patient plan of care under MD/RN guidance.
• Provide direct bedside care including activities of daily living and mobility assistance.
• Provide personal care for patient comfort and hygiene.
• Transport patients by wheelchairs or stretchers; assist with ambulation and equipment.
• Document care and enter data into hospital information systems.
