Job summary

Phoenix Children's Emergency Department is seeking an Emergency Dept Technician to support direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. Responsibilities

• Collect and record routine patient data to ensure accuracy of the patient chart.
• Assist in applying splints, casts, and other orthopedic devices and perform CPR during cardiac arrest management.
• Assemble patient charts for new admissions and enter admission orders and demographic data.
• Identify and report unusual findings to supervising staff for timely intervention.
• Maintain inventory levels of stock items, supplies, and equipment for unit operation.
• Obtain blood specimens by physician order or protocol and deliver lab specimens as requested.
