Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Des Moines area. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acutely ill patients across all ages, while educating families and advocating for their needs.

The role includes serving as a preceptor for students and new staff, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and communicating plans of care clearly to the team.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa (or compact) Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire; TNCC within 1 year; PALS within 3 months.
• BLS within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across all ages using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families; advocate and coordinate with care teams.
• Precept students and new employees; supervise ED Technicians.
