UCSF Health, AG is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join the Emergency Department team at its Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Oakland. The LVN provides patient-centered nursing care under RN and physician supervision, supports triage, intake, monitoring, prepares patients for procedures in a fast-paced trauma setting.

Qualified candidates have CA LVN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of healthcare experience; pediatric ED experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN or LVN program.
• Current California LVN license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience; pediatric ED experience preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy; ability to administer immunizations.

Responsabilités

• Assist with triage preparation, patient intake, and monitoring of patient status.
• Perform clinical procedures within LVN scope and administer medications.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Support trauma resuscitation activities as part of the care team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain professionalism in high-stress, fast-paced environment.
