Qualifications

• California LVN license in good standing
• Current CPR (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patient needs and responses to treatment through observation of physical symptoms, emotional state, and relevant factors.
• Recognize and communicate patient conditions and concerns to the RN or physician; alert providers to unusual observations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan care and identify short- and long-term goals.
• Provide nursing care for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients.
• Perform patient intake, prep exam rooms, and protect patient privacy.
• Assist patients with limited mobility and support procedures and treatments.
• Administer and document medications and maintain pharmacology knowledge.
• Respond to emergencies, including CPR; follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate and obtain patient records; support education for patients and families.
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and participate in team orientation and learning.
