Job summary

Exer Urgent Care in California seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our center-based team. The LVN is clinically responsible for patients, delegates tasks to back-office staff, and coordinates care with providers.

The position requires an LVN license, 1 year of clinical experience, IV/phlebotomy certification, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and weekend availability. You will triage, administer medications, and support quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LVN license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• IV/Phlebotomy certification.
• IV administration, phlebotomy, labs, injections, EKG.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Weekend coverage: 3-4 Saturdays or Sundays per month.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient safety and satisfaction.
• Provides excellent patient care and coordinates with ED MD.
• Triages patients with vital signs, history, and nursing assessment.
• Explains procedures to patients to gain cooperation.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as per techniques.
• Delegates within scope and manages patient flow.
• Prepares equipment and assists provider during treatment.
• Observes patient and reports changes to provider.
• Responds to life-saving situations per protocols.
• Initiates patient education plans as prescribed.
• Maintains equipment and supports QA and inventory.
• Acts as a steward for the company in cost-conscious care.
