Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a patient care assistant to support the Department of Emergency Medicine. You will assist with basic direct care, vital sign collection, and data entry under RN supervision in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable communication, and the ability to work a 36-hour schedule with rotating days and every other weekend. A high school diploma and relevant clinical experience or certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year CA experience, CNA/MA/PCT/EMT certification, or nursing student with at least one clinical rotation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to exchange information on factual matters.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with feeding and hygiene, and record routine vital information.
• Obtain records and results for appointments and enter data into computers.
• Perform general office support tasks and assist clinicians during examinations.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Work 36 hours with rotating days and every other weekend.
