Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Clinical Assistant to support the General Surgery Clinic. You will assist the RN with direct and indirect patient care, obtain and record vitals and growth parameters, and handle clerical duties. Rotation between Boston and Waltham ensures coverage across sites with a collaborative pediatric team.

Ideal candidates hold a HS Diploma or GED; CNA certification is preferred, and at least 1 year of outpatient pediatric clinical experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• 1 year Clinical Assistant experience in an outpatient pediatric setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN, the Clinical Assistant performs duties of direct and indirect patient care.
• Supporting the RN with clinical tasks, including obtaining and recording vital signs and growth parameters and clerical duties.
• Assisting RN in completing prior authorization forms.
• Answering prescription refill line.
• Room set up, stock inventory for supplies and equipment.
• Rotation between Boston and Waltham.
