Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support pediatric surgical patients on a 27-bed inpatient unit under RN supervision. You will work with a team to monitor vitals, perform EKGs, label specimens, and assist with transports and supplies.

The role emphasizes family-centered care, with a schedule including 12-hour shifts, nights, and every weekend (Sat/Sun 7PM - 7 AM). A supportive benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• Education: A HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year CA experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work within a team.

Responsabilités

• Under the supervision of the registered nurse the Clinical Assistant will help provide competent care for pediatric surgical patients on a 27-bed inpatient unit.
• Collaborate with the RN to obtain vital signs, oxygen saturation, intake/output, perform EKGs, and label lab specimens.
• Identify and report unusual findings or changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Assist with transporting patients and stocking supplies and equipment as needed.
• Practice in a family centered environment on a 27-bed inpatient unit.
