Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible PRN Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our established Children’s Center.

The role covers outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations, with full EPIC support. We offer relocation allowance, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.

Our flagship campus houses inpatient/outpatient services across a thriving multispecialty clinic, providing family-centered pediatric care.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO with BC/BE in pediatric endocrinology.
  • NM medical license or eligibility to practice in NM.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric endocrinology.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and ensures quality of care and clinical outcomes for pediatric endocrinology patients.
  • Manages the physician/patient relationship to ensure family satisfaction with care.
  • Participates in system-wide health management initiatives.
  • Maintains coding and encounter data standards for completeness and reimbursement.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and other providers to optimize care.

Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible PRN Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dedicated to family-centered Care, the Children's Center at Presbyterian encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services for specialty pediatric care. Our dedicated pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient unit, NICU and thriving multispecialty clinic are all co-located at our flagship campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Vital program in an established and growing fully integrated non-profit community healthcare system
ADA recognized diabetes program
24x7 hospitalist services for each NICU, PICU and pediatric units for 116 beds combined
Thriving multispecialty clinic setting provides pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, Neurology, Surgery, Behavioral Medicine, Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, and Chronic Care.
Co-located inpatient and outpatient services - flexible inpatient/outpatient split

Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service, inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Systemwide EPIC electronic medical record system with dedicated onsite support

Excellent work life balance with flexible call schedule - Primarily phone calls on weekday evenings and one weekend per month

Responsibilities
  • Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric endocrinology patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care.
  • Participates in system wide health management initiatives.
  • Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.
  • Receives and resolves patient complaints.
  • Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
  • Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.
  • Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.
  • Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.
  • Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
  • Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities.
  • Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.
  • Assists in leading the Certified Diabetic Educators in delivering appropriate patient education/care
  • Performs other functions as required.
