Position Summary
Pediatric Endocrinologist providing comprehensive care services for pediatric endocrinology patients. Leads the care team in delivering efficient and compassionate care.
Job Overview
Part of a thoughtful, well‑supported practice on the flagship campus with pediatric ICU, NICU, and multispecialty clinic.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and be accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric endocrinology patients.
- Manage the physician/patient relationship and work to assure patient and family satisfaction.
- Participate in system‑wide health management initiatives.
- Provide input into the practice site’s financial, clinical, and service‑quality performance, including budget, capital plan, and personnel issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.
- Receive and resolve patient complaints.
- Participate in recruitment and replacement of other providers.
- Enhance professional growth through educational programs, literature review, in‑services, and workshops.
- Consult with and advise other providers regarding optimal and cost‑effective treatment of pediatric patients.
- Participate in team and multispecialty group meetings.
- Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and reimbursement level, ensuring legible documentation.
- Assist in leading Certified Diabetic Educators in delivering appropriate patient education and care.
- Perform other functions as required.
Qualifications
- MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Active medical license in New Mexico.
- Experience in pediatric endocrinology care preferred.
