Provides comprehensive care services for pediatric endocrinology patients. The Pediatric Endocrinologist leads the care team in providing efficient and compassionate care.

Position

Board Certified/Board Eligible PRN Pediatric Endocrinologist to join an established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

  • Co‑located inpatient and outpatient services – flexible inpatient/outpatient split
  • Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service, inpatient and outpatient procedures.
  • Systemwide EPIC electronic medical record system with dedicated onsite support
  • Excellent work life balance with flexible call schedule – primarily phone calls on weekday evenings and one weekend per month

Responsibilities
  • Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric endocrinology patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care.
  • Participates in system‑wide health management initiatives.
  • Provides input into the practice site’s financial, clinical, and quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.
  • Receives and resolves patient complaints.
  • Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in‑services and workshops.
  • Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost‑effective treatment of pediatric patients.
  • Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.
  • Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.
  • Maintains coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness to support reimbursement, including legible documentation.
  • Assists in leading Certified Diabetic Educators in delivering appropriate patient education/care.
  • Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications

MD/DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Endocrinology, New Mexico Medical License.
