Job summary

Nursefinders is seeking experienced Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurses for per diem shifts in New York. You will triage, stabilize, and treat acutely ill or injured pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER, collaborating with physicians and families.

The role requires active RN license, 1 year pediatric ER or acute care experience, BLS and PALS. ACLS/ENPC preferred. 12-hour day or night shifts, per diem schedule offering flexibility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Pediatric ER or pediatric acute care RN experience.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• ACLS and/or ENPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat pediatric patients presenting with acute illness or injury.
• Provide rapid stabilization and emergency nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments using weight-based dosing.
• Assist with pediatric emergency procedures and trauma response.
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with pediatric emergency physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support and educate families during stressful and emotional situations.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and pediatric ER protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

What You’ll Do
