Qualifications

• RN – State of Florida
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Completion of general and nursing orientation
• Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families and colleagues
• Certifications as required by the unit
• Completion of annual competency based learning modules
• Documentation of assessments and plans for patient care
• Ability to coordinate care with LPN/CNA/Unit Clerk
• Adheres to hospital policies and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care according to nursing process
• Direct, delegate and coordinate nursing care for the care team
• Assess patient upon admission and ongoing condition changes
• Involve family in plan of care and education
• Administer medications per established policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes
• Initiate teaching plans for discharge readiness
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical practice
• Report to work as scheduled and maintain professional appearance
• Support quality improvement initiatives and research participation
