Summary of Job Duties: Work hours include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The APRN/PA is a trained healthcare provider with specialized certification, responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating pediatric patients, collaborating with physicians, and providing family-centered care. Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, physical exams, interpreting data, developing treatment plans, documenting in medical records, participating in staff education, and leading quality improvement or research projects.

Qualifications:

APRN:

• Master’s in Nursing from an accredited program
• National Certification as an APRN, with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification preferred

PA:

• Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program
• Current Arkansas Physician Assistant license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
