Pediatric Dental Care in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our pediatric team. You will perform expanded duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist, support chairside procedures, take impressions, radiographs, and help maintain a welcoming, kid-friendly office.

The ideal candidate holds Tennessee EFDA certification, completed an accredited dental assisting program, and has CPR certification, with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Active EFDA certification/licensure in Tennessee is required.

Responsibilities

• Take and pour impressions, fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
• Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and operatories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
