Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Chattanooga, TN. You will support dentists with charting, fillings, and patient education, while following state regulations for expanded duties.

We require EFDA or on-the-job training, radiography licensure, CPR, and 1–5 years of experience. Proficiency in MS Office and dental software is preferred; enjoy a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors including charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/cleanup, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures such as fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and topical fluoride.
• Records and reviews patient health history and ensures forms/signatures in dental software.
• Updates patient treatment plans under the direction of the treating dentist.
