Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando is seeking an EEG Technician - Neurology (Full-time) to perform pediatric EEG procedures, including routine, ambulatory, long-term monitoring, and neonatal EEGs, following ABRET/ACNS guidelines using the 10-20 system.

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I role requires EPIC familiarity, ability to troubleshoot equipment, and strong patient education. BLS and ABRET certification within 18 months are required, with a Wednesday–Friday night schedule in Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited EEG/Neurodiagnostic Program or ABRET recognized program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in routine EEGs, Ambulatory VEEGs, and Long-Term Monitoring.
• Certification from ABRET required within 18 months of hire (R.EEG.T).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot EEG systems for long-term monitoring independently.
• Perform tasks in the EPIC system.
• Set up and troubleshoot equipment for video-EEG studies using the 10-20 system with paste and gel adhesives, including activation procedures (hyperventilation, photic stimulation).
• Evaluate and analyze scalp video-EEG studies.
• Support EEG lab duties as assigned by supervisor/lead tech.
• Maintain clinical database and archiving records of studies.
