Job summary

Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters - Main Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks an EEG Technologist to perform END and evoked potential procedures for patients of all ages under department supervision. After hour call coverage is required and reports go to department leadership.

The ideal candidate holds ABRET EEG certification, CPR training within 45 days of hire, and 2–3 years END experience; relates to patients, families, nurses and physicians while maintaining high quality data.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years Electroneurodiagnostic experience preferred.
• ABRET EEG certification required.
• CPR training required within 45 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate with patients/families and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs END and evoked potential procedures across age groups.
• Accurately obtains and identifies brain activity wave forms for review/interpretation.
• Provides END procedures and operates/maintains END equipment.
• Provides patient/family education.
• Assists management with performance improvement, billing, budget, equipment and design processes related to END.
• Performs duties within scope of clinical education/training and reports to department leadership.
