Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an ECMO Specialist (RN or RT) PRN to provide specialized ECMO patient care and to collaborate with the ICU team. Role emphasizes assessment, management of ECMO circuits, and participation in program activities.

Qualifications

• RN or RT with ECMO experience; CNMC course within 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years related clinical experience; pediatric/neonatal preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care for ECMO patients as RN or RT.
• Collaborate with ICU team to plan and deliver care; assess and advise on continuity of care.
• Assist cannulation/decannulation and ECMO circuit management per protocol.
• Complete documentation and participate in performance improvement activities.
