Sanford Health is seeking a Diabetes Educator for the Pediatric Clinic in Bismarck, ND. This full-time role requires clinical nursing experience, RN licensure, and a CDE certification or eligibility.

Expect responsibility for patient education, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The position involves a 7th weekend call rotation at the Medical Center, with a 40-hour work week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; willing to obtain within three years.
• Two years of experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Current RN licensure in practice states; multi-state licensure privileges as required; telephone nursing licensure in patients' states.
• Certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator or obtain within three years when eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients on diabetes self-management including nutrition, activity and glucose testing.
• Conducts individual and group education sessions; develops personalized care plans.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to monitor progress and adjust care plans.
• Stays updated on diabetes management techniques and participates in community outreach.
• Organizes education materials and coordinates with Pediatric Clinic and Medical Center as needed.
