The position includes a 7th weekend call rotation at the Medical Center and a full-time schedule. Requirements include a BSN or willingness to obtain within three years, 2 years of clinical nursing experience, RN licensure, and BLS; Diabetes Educator

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required or willing to obtain within three years.
• Two years of experience as a clinical nurse required.
• Current RN licensure in applicable states; multi-state licensure may be required.
• Certified Diabetes Educator certification or obtained within three years when eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on diabetes self-care and management.
• Assess, diagnose, educate, and develop personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Provide one-on-one and group education sessions; collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in community outreach and stay updated on diabetes management techniques.
