Job summary

Fair Haven Community Health Care seeks a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) Clinical Coordinator to manage referrals, scheduling, and patient flow within the DBP program.

The role supports medical staff as a Medical Assistant during clinic hours and ensures an efficient, friendly patient experience. Strong administrative skills and MA training are required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Minimum six months of experience in a medical facility.
• BLS certification required.
• MA from accredited program or CMA with 1+ year experience.
• Administrative, clerical and computing skills including MS Office and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive referrals to the DBP program and schedule initial consultations under supervision.
• Coordinate intake processes for DBP patients.
• Collaborate with DBP clinical staff on quality improvement initiatives.
• Schedule follow-up DBP appointments.
• Manage phone calls, refills, and patient messages for the DBP clinic.
• Greet patients and families during DBP clinic hours; maintain a welcoming environment.
• Take age-appropriate vital signs and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Prepare letters, flyers and memos for patients.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
• Maintain MA competencies under Nursing Director supervision.
