Valley Health Partners is seeking a Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental care, splitting duties between Allentown and Easton. You will assist dentists, maintain sterile rooms, manage instruments, and support front desk tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred postsecondary nondegree award. Prior dental assisting experience in a healthcare/FQHC setting is desirable, along with RHS and BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Postsecondary nondegree award preferred.
• One year of dental assisting experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Dental assisting experience in an FQHC setting preferred.
• Successful completion of RHS exam from DANB upon hire or within 6 months.
• BLS upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Assembles and sets up equipment and supplies for patient treatment.
• Documents patient safety issues in the designated reporting system.
• Performs basic dental radiographic procedures with radiological exposure protection.
• Performs cleaning and infection control in the operatory and sterilization room.
• Provides chairside assistance and aid to dentists as directed.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with patient comfort and positioning.
• Enter patient information in EMR and communicate observations.
• Performs clerical and administrative duties as needed; floats to other locations as required.
