Job summary

Valley Health Partners seeks a Dental Assistant EFDA to support mobile pediatric dental care. You will assist dentists during exams and treatments, maintain rooms and equipment, sterilize instruments, and help with sealants and fluoride applications.

Experience as a dental assistant with EFDA certification is required, along with RHS, BLS, and strong patient communication skills. Work primarily on the mobile unit serving the Allentown area.

Qualifications

• Three years of dental assisting experience in healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Certified Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) upon hire.
• Successful completion of Radiation Health and Safety Exam (RHS) from DANB upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during examination and treatment.
• Maintain treatment rooms, laboratory, instruments and equipment.
• Sterilize dental instruments and prepare supplies.
• May place tooth sealants and apply fluoride treatments.
• Provide chair side assistance and support to dentists.
