Job description

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant. The Dental Assistant provides quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The Dental Assistant affects the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information, direct patient care, sterilization, accurate chart documentation, and taking digital x-rays. QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Successful completion of a dental assistant licensing program or 2+ years of dental assisting experience.
  3. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  4. Successful completion of DANB exam - Radiation and Health Safety Examination for PA X-ray license (must complete within 6 months of hire).
  5. Certification in office practice or enrollment in such a program is desired.
  6. CPR certified.
  7. Completion of 3 hours of training in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
  8. PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Clearances.
