Job summary

Valley Health Partners in Allentown, PA seeks a Dental Assistant II, Family Smiles, to assist dentists in examinations and treatments within the CHC program. The role includes room preparation, instrument sterilization, documentation, and potential mobile unit support.

Three years of experience required; CDA upon hire with RHS and BLS upon hire. High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred. Medical/dental/vision plans and retirement benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of Dental Assisting experience required.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• CDA certification upon hire; RHS and BLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and sets up equipment and supplies for patient treatment.
• Documents patient safety issues in the designated system.
• Performs basic dental radiographic procedures and maintains radiologic protection.
• Maintains operatory cleanliness and infection control.
• Provides chair side assistance to dentists and assists with procedures.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with patient comfort.
• Records details in the Electronic Medical Record and reports concerns.
• Performs clerical duties as needed; floats to other locations as required.
