Main Street Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics of Waterford Lakes is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction in a team-oriented environment. Front desk experience is a plus!

Position Overview:

As a Dental Assistant, you will be a vital part of our care team, assisting with treatments, supporting office operations, and upholding our mission to provide excellent dental care and create memorable patient experiences. Prior dental assisting experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake.
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information.

Qualifications

Required:

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or
• Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation

Additional certifications such as X-Ray and Nitrous Oxide are highly recommended. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. All Dental Assistants must maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as mandated by law.
