Hours: Wednesday & Friday 8:30a-5:00p

Position Overview

We are looking for a Part Time Ortho Assistant at Main Street Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics of Waterford Lakes to support our clinical team by providing high-quality patient care in a team-based environment. Candidates must be FL X-ray certified with at least 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience. This role offers flexibility to become full-time.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures.
  • Welcome and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and intake as needed.
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or
  • Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.

Additional certifications such as Nitrous Oxide are highly recommended. Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
