Stony Point Orthodontics and Children's Dentistry in Richmond, VA seeks a compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will work closely with dentists to deliver friendly, kid-centered care in a welcoming setting.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance for pediatric procedures, radiography, patient education, and front-office support as needed. Certification in radiography and CPR/BLS preferred or obtainable quickly.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric experience helpful.
• Radiography certification required or ability to obtain promptly.
• CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Warm, patient and nurturing demeanor with children of all ages.
• Strong communication with patients and parents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during pediatric procedures and exams.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory between patients.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed.
• Create a calm, welcoming experience for children and parents.
• Record patient histories and treatment notes in dental software.
• Educate families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage dental supply inventory and assist with front office tasks as needed.
