Pediatric Dental Care in Springfield, Virginia seeks a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in a friendly, team-based environment. The role focuses on preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists, and delivering compassionate patient care.

Candidates should have a one-year certified dental assistant program, X-ray certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Ongoing OSHA, HIPAA, CPR training is expected to be kept up to date.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
