Job summary

First Impressions Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Prophylaxis Assistant (PPA) to join our team. You will support hygienists, prepare for patient visits, and gain hands-on experience working with children under supervision.

This entry-level position offers comprehensive training, with options for full-time or part-time hours, and a path to growth within a supportive pediatric dental practice.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred
• One year of experience working with or caring for children preferred
• Strong customer service skills and commitment to patient/parent satisfaction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity and precision
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend and Carestream Imaging helpful
• Requires local travel to other First Impressions offices
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Assist hygienists in patient care and preparation for appointments
• Work alongside dental hygienists to support patient visits
• Provide hands-on patient care as needed and mentor patients and families
• Support children and families throughout their visits
• Participate in comprehensive training to succeed in the role
