Job summary

New Milford Pediatric, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, seeks a full‑time Dental Assistant to join a patient‑focused team in Milford, CT. The role supports clinicians, maintains operatory readiness, and ensures a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, assisting chairside, taking x‑rays, processing treatment plans, and keeping clinical areas clean and organized. Fellowship with our family‑oriented mission is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Superior customer service and multitasking skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a family‑oriented team.
• Ability to reliably commute to New Milford, CT.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor.
• Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts.
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance.
• Assist chairside using four‑handed dentistry.
• Enter treatment plans.
• Take x‑rays as needed.
• Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient.
• Take alginates/pour and trim models.
• Package and sterilize instruments.
• Keep operatory fully stocked.

Currently, we’re in search of a highly motivated Full-time Dental Assistant. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic, be a team player and possess the ability to multitask

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet and seat patients

Available to work during current office hours:

• Monday - 7:30am - 5pm
• Tuesday - 7:30am - 5pm
• Wednesday - 7:30am - 5pm
• Thursday - 7:30am - 5pm
• Occasional Fridays
• One Saturday per month - 7:30am - 2pm

Preferred Qualities:

• Dental Office Experience
• Dentrix Ascend software experience
• X-Ray and ICE Certification
