Job summary

Vitana Pediatric & Orthodontic Partners in Florida is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental procedures and radiography, ensuring patient comfort from entry through post-treatment care.

You will take histories, assist with treatments, prepare patients, and educate on oral hygiene. This role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced private practice environment.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children.
• 1 year of Dental Assisting experience.
• X-Ray Certification (preferred).
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Take patients' medical and dental history.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures.
• Teach patients oral hygiene to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing and flossing).
• Chart/enter a treatment and notes into EagleSoft.
• Dental cleanings/prophylaxis, fluoride application, and sealants.
• Sterilization and cleaning chairs.
• And other tasks to keep our office clean and tidy.

Job Details:

Full-time: Monday - Thursday

Hours : 7:45am - 5 pm

$18 - $22 an hour
