Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an RN for the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU. You will provide direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, collaborate with the care team, and support family-centered planning.

Qualifications include RN license, ADN or BSN, BSN within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12, ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Pediatric CVICU experience preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or eligible to practice in Texas.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher.
• BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within specified timelines.
• Congenital heart disease/pediatric critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients within the scope of Nurse Practice Act.
• Organize, implement, modify, document and maintain the plan of care, family-centered and holistic.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement.
• Maintain high-quality age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult populations.
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Apply scientific knowledge; use equipment; perform technical procedures.
• Advocate for patients and educate patients/family throughout continuum of care.
• Demonstrate technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
