Job summary

CHOC Children's on Main Campus in Orange, CA seeks an experienced pediatric CVICU RN for a Breaker role on the per diem day shift. The Breaker Nurse AC plans and delivers family-centered care, coordinating nursing services to meet individual patient needs.

Requirements include BSN, CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and at least 1 year of acute care nursing with 6 months in pediatrics. CCRN is preferred. This position emphasizes teamwork and adaptable staffing for pediatric critical care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year acute care nursing experience with six (6) months in a pediatric setting.
• BSN degree required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; California RN license.
• CCRN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver family-centered patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for pediatric CVICU patients.
• Collaborate with patient/family and other professionals to ensure effective care delivery.
• Support CHOC’s mission and promote excellence in nursing care.
