Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is interviewing RNs for a Pediatric CVICU opening. You will provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, develop and document individualized care plans, and uphold a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role requires RN licensure, associates degree, and certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS) within specified timelines; BSN within 24 months of hire may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications within specified timelines
• BSN within 24 months if not already held
• Congenital Heart Disease or high-acuity PICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per the Nurse Practice Act for critically ill pediatric/CHD patients
• Organize, implement, and evaluate individualized, family-centered plans of care
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment and participate in process improvements
• Support CHSU initiatives and overall mission of the organization
• Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care
• Demonstrate clinical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication
