Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our CVICU team.

You will develop and implement care plans for acutely ill pediatric patients, perform advanced procedures, and coordinate with cardiology, surgery and intensivist colleagues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have ICU experience as a bedside RN and hold state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care or Family Medicine from ACEN/CCNE-accredited programs OR Master’s from ARC-PA for PAs.
• Required AZ RN/NP/PA licensure with state board credentialing.
• Current BLS certification and NCCPA certification or NP/PA certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develops care plans for acutely ill pediatric ICU patients.
• Performs advanced procedures per credentialing and scope of practice.
• Presents plan of care to attending physician and medical team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintains patient safety and quality through evidence-based practice.
• Provides education and mentorship to staff and trainees.
