Job summary

The APP will develop and implement care plans for acutely ill patients, collaborate with the medical team, and perform advanced procedures within scope and state regulations. The role requires strong ICU experience, flexibility with shifts, and a commitment to education of staff and students.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from ACEN/CCNE accredited program in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric primary care or Family Medicine.
• Current CVICU/NICU or broad ICU experience is preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification required; AZ NP or PA licensure as applicable; NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments and plans for pediatric patients with acute or chronic conditions.
• Orders and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Develops family-centered care plans and documents daily progress.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Perform advanced procedures within credentialing and scope of practice.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff; mentor learners as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and report concerns to improve practice.
