Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center's Children’s Transport team seeks an RN to provide critical care during interfacility transport of infants and children by air or ground. You will deliver expert nursing care and maintain patient safety throughout transport to UMMC or designated facilities.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Nursing and at least three years in neonatal or pediatric ICU/emergency care, with an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or diploma in Nursing is required.
• Three (3) years neonatal, pediatric intensive care or pediatric emergency experience required.
• RN license must be valid.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, administer, and document nursing care during transport.
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients.
• Monitor patient condition and adverse reactions during transport.
• Guide assisting personnel in patient care.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functional; report failures.
• Support regulatory compliance during flight transport.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation.
• Participate in disaster preparedness and EMS operations support.
