University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks an experienced transport nurse to deliver optimum critical care for neonates and pediatric patients during aircraft and ground ambulance transports. You will assess, monitor, and document care, providing physical and psychological comfort and maintaining equipment readiness.

The role requires an RN with a nursing degree or diploma and at least 3 years in neonatal or pediatric critical care or emergency settings, BLS, and PALS or NRP.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or nursing diploma; 3 years neonatal/pediatric ICU or pediatric emergency experience.
• Valid RN license with BLS and either PALS or NRP.
• Weight-bearing and lifting capabilities as specified in job postings.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate, plan, administer and document nursing care during transport.
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients.
• Monitor patient condition and adverse drug reactions during transport.
• Guide assisting personnel in patient care during flight/ground transport.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functional; report failures.
• Participate in disaster preparedness and EMS unit operations as part of state response.
